2008 Vibe Classified Rates

Classified Line Ads
Each line contains approximately 30 characters including spaces and punctuation. The open rate is $25 dollars for 3 lines, with a three line minimum. Each additional line is $7.00 per line per week. Frequency rates are at the following prices: 

Circulation                                                                                                                                  The Bloomington Vibe is Bloomington’s alternative newspaper. The Vibe distributes a minimum of 10,000 copies at more than 100 distribution points.

 Line Ads                                                                                                                             There is no additional cost for a bold headline of same size. Enhanced headlines are $5 additional. Lines of stars or other simple designs are available for $3 per line.

Frequency Rates                                                                                                         Frequency rates are determined by the number of insertions within a year, based on a signed contract. Unfulfilled contracts will be charged the difference between the contract rate and the open rate for ads run. Maximum contract rate is one year.

Deadlines                                                                                                                                    The Bloomington Vibe is published every Thursday. All space reservations and material are due to The Vibe’s Design department by 5:00 pm on the Friday prior to the publication date (six days in advance). Cancellations will not be accepted after the final reservation date, the Friday prior to the publication date. If the week prior to publication includes a holiday, all deadlines are 24 hours earlier.  

Acceptance Policy                                                                                                                  The Bloomington Vibe reserves the right to reject any advertising material. Ads may not contain any sexually suggestive or sexually explicit artwork or language.

Payment                                                                                                                         Payment in advance is required at the time of reservation by check or credit card. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and AMEX are accepted.
